Austin HIMSS Chapter August 11th Virtual Lunch & Learn

August 11, 11:45am, CDT - 1:00pm, CDT

A Tale of Two Curves

Join us for a lunch and learn exploring an interesting phenomenon happening in healthcare. Flattening of the COVID curve has had profound ripple effects particularly on the technology adoption curve. In fact, analysts are pointing to pandemic-induced tech adoption curves in the last two months that otherwise may have taken two years. From early joiners to late majority, a groundswell is happening in healthcare and we will not be going back to how things were pre-COVID. Come hear examples from across the healthcare sector including rapid in-home diagnostics, a massive migration from data centers to cloud, an all-remote workforce, virtual health sessions, remote monitoring devices and the surge of in-home healthcare from IoT. Specific use cases and case studies will be shared as will key considerations to take back to your work. Come learn about the curve that is not flattening: tech adoption in healthcare, and see what all of this means to HIPAA, security, and compliance.
