Biomedical devices and the security of these devices on healthcare provider networks has been a hot button topic for the past few year. In this presentation we will discuss the current changes in the marketplace due to cybersecurity challenges, an approach to understanding the true risk posed to the organization from information security risks to biomedical devices, and a few key components of a successful medical device security strategy for a healthcare provider.</SPAN></P>

Mark is a senior manager in the Deloitte & Touche LLP Advisory Cyber Risk practice. He has over 20 years of experience in business, IT, project management and 10 years’ experience supporting information technology, security and privacy programs within the healthcare sector. His past roles include CISO, Director of IT and Vice President & CIO of health systems. His past experiences have allowed him to develop multiple information technology & security programs from strategy through project management to successful implementation. Areas of experience include HIPAA, Medical Device/IoT security, and technology risk management. His broad experience and solid understanding of healthcare operations makes him well qualified to deliver upon complex information security projects in diverse and heavily regulated environments. Mark serves Deloitte premier healthcare clients with technology, and information security advice and strategies across the nation.
